Our water glasses went empty most of the night, we were never asked if we wanted another drink, and we had to ask twice for our food-strewn table to be wiped down before dessert. Service was pleasant if a bit lackadaisical. Too bad the glasses were filmy (they were replaced after we pointed it out). We enjoyed the barbecue duck appetizer and the fries were good. If our meal was any indication, Coda hits many of the right notes but needs a bit more practice to stay in tune.

Chef Finn strolled around, meeting and greeting guests and keeping an eye on everything. The bar kept up a steady business and a lively private party filled the back dining room. On a recent Saturday night, the sleek space was filled with families, couples and groups. Other customer favorites include Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon, and a selection of sliders including Angus beef and Thai tuna with red curry mayo.ĭespite the changes, Coda seems to be humming along. When one of the founding partners left earlier this summer, the restaurant was reborn as Coda.Īlthough many original Indigo dishes remain, the menu now offers “globally influenced” items like Thai Hot Pot and the biggest seller, Baja Fish Tacos. After a stint at The Raven and the Peach in Fair Haven, he joined Indigo when it first opened in Maplewood Village just a year ago.
